Who we are:

Our principal researcher is Sandra Doble, MAGI.

Sandra initially qualified as an ACCA accountant and worked for over fifteen years in auditing and as a finance manager.Sandra Doble

Seven years ago, Sandra left the accountancy sphere to pursue her true interest - genealogy.

Sandra holds a Diploma in Family History Research (Distinction), awarded by The Institute of Commercial Management.

“My time as an accountant has taught me to conduct all work in a highly professional manner and has left me with a strong understanding of professional ethics. Genealogy research involves sifting a vast amount of data and I find that my early skills allow me to assess this data methodically and logically. I am experienced in reporting findings with accuracy and clarity.”

Our commitment to you:

  • All information given by you to Irish Family Footsteps, and results of all research carried out by us, will be treated in strict confidentially. We will not divulge your family history information to third parties, unless with your prior written consent. We report findings to you, and to you alone.
  • We will review your initial assessment fairly and honestly, and will not undertake research on your behalf where we do not believe there to be sufficient a possibility of success. This is very important in the context of Irish research where so many record sources no longer survive.
  • You will always be given a clear written report at the end of research, regardless of the size of the project, detailing our findings in full; and listing sources researched.
  • No relevant material discovered in relation to the research you have commissioned will be withheld from you. However, should we discover family information which we deem to be of a sensitive nature, we will discuss it with you before its inclusion in a final report.
